Cabin #6 is on one of Fishtrap Resort’s more private lots, with ages trees and lush vegetation sheltering the home. Large windows in the dining room look out at the cabin’s natural setting on three sides, providing the room with lots of natural light and giving it an indoor/outdoor appeal. Inside, the cabin is paneled in warm, knotted pine that completes the cultivated atmosphere of rustic comfort.
Cabin #6’s main living area is centrally located, making the shared space the automatic catch-all hang-out for guests of all ages. A plush, curving sectional provides ample lounge seating for the whole group to watch the satellite TV and DVD player side-by-side. This cabin’s private lot opens on one side to views of Fishtrap lake. A single bathroom is complete with a standing shower, and the kitchen is fully equipped with dinnerware, cookware and small appliances.
Sleeping Arrangements: This cabin features two private bedrooms on a single floor, with one queen-sized bed and one pair of twin-sized beds. A sleeper sofa folds out into an additional queen-sized bed.
This cabin’s shaded lot is located 40 yards from the lakes edge on level land with plenty of room for parking. A private pier offers lake access for swimming, fishing and boating. Guests to Fishtrap Lake Resort have access to a shared boat launch area, and a 14-foot aluminum fishing boat is available upon request. Rental rates also include the use of a charcoal grill.
Fishtrap Lake is well-known in the area to be a rich source of pan fish, walleye, northern pike, large and smallmouth bass, and especially Musky. Newcomers to the regions lakes and streams will find many excellent guide services willing to lend their time, equipment and expertise. Some even offer a discount for those with a reservation at Fishtrap Lake Resort! Guests can obtain fishing licenses, bait and supplies at Northern Highland Sports, just three miles from the resort grounds.
If fishing’s not your angle, guided trips through the region’s natural scenery can also be arranged for hunting on public land, motor boat tours of the lakes and water ways, river canoeing, snowmobile tours and even shopping adventures!
Things to Remember: Guests will need to provide soap, towels and paper goods.
