This spacious cabin features an open-concept floor plan with a large living area with a triple patio door that opens the view to the lake beautifully, a fully-equipped kitchen, two private bedrooms and one full bath. The kitchen includes a refrigerator with an in-door ice maker, as well as small appliances, bake ware and table settings. The living room is comfortably furnished, with a 20-inch satellite TV and DVD player and an electric fireplace. Exposed hardwood floors and knotted pine interior walls give this cabin a warm, rustic atmosphere. Free wireless internet!
Sleeping Arrangements: Cabin #1’s two private bedrooms are newly remodeled and refinished, with a queen-sized bed in one bedroom and two twin-sized beds in the other. The living room offers additional sleeping space on a full-sized futon.
Cabin #1 has a gentle slope lot leading down to the shore of Fishtrap Lake. A large, attached deck with lawn chairs, a charcoal grill and a small outdoor dining area looks out over the water.
The rental rate includes the use of a private dock for fishing, swimming, or just enjoying the water on a provided park bend at the end of the pier. A 14-foot aluminum fishing boat is available upon request. All cabins share the resort’s boat launch area.
Fishtrap Lake covers 329 acres and is a beautiful body of water to explore by canoe or motor boat. By quietly trolling the lake and the connecting Manitowish River, visitors have access to the native Musky, pan fish, large and smallmouth bass, walleye and northern pike. Other wildlife is often spotted close to the resort, including deer, turtles, blue heron, ducks, otters, eagles and loons.
The larger Boulder Junction area is locally known as the “Musky Capital of the World,” with more Musky caught in the surrounding lakes than in any other region of similar size. And it doesn’t end in summer — Boulder Junction offers excellent ice fishing and equipment rentals. Sportsmen can also engage in bow and rifle hunting for whitetail deer, black bear and other game.
Boulder Junction offers a variety of guided experiences for visitors hoping to get the most out of the region’s hunting, fishing, hiking trails, waterways and shopping experiences. Erv’s Guide Service even offers a discount.
Things to Remember: Guests will need to provide soap, towels and paper goods.
