The Lake House is a newly remodeled, modern vacation home on the shores of Lost Land Lake. The property is lightly wooded, with a gorgeous view of the water and level frontage leading up to a shallow swimming area and a private dock. The home is comfortably and simply decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen, a furnished living room with DISH TV and large picture windows, and a small dining area with seating for six. The setting is quiet and private, not far from a secluded lakeside resort with a few neighboring cabins.
The resort is conveniently located to supply boat rentals, fuel and other supplies. Guests to the lake house will love the shaded front porch, perfect for enjoying a drink while the sun sets over the still water. Inclusive rental rates cover both the house and the use of a private pier and a 14-foot Alumacraft fishing boat.
Sleeping arrangements: This quiet Wisconsin vacation rental offers three private bedrooms with a queen-sized bed in each. There is also a pull-out sleeper sofa in the main living area.
The Lake House lays claim to a lovely, private lot between the trees — the perfect home base for guests who love to explore the outdoors. Lost Land Lake is a no-wake zone throughout, making it a safe and hassle-free place for paddling. Guests can explore the many channels and coves of Lost Land Lake in canoes, kayaks or on paddle boards. Lost Land Lake is also an excellent place to try your hand at living off the land.
A day’s catch on this popular freshwater fishing body could include walleye, northern, musky, pike, crappie, bass or pan fish. Lost Land Lake measures three miles by 1 ¾ miles, with a maximum depth of 25 feet. It also connects to the nearby Teal Lake — another noted musky fishing lake — by way of a wide channel.
The Lake House offers everything that is great about summer in Wisconsin — fishing, swimming, star-gazing, sunsets on the water, and especially grilling out on the lawn and having dinner out in the clean country air. This family vacation rental is located near public-access hunting grounds, where visitors can participate in the pursuit of partridges during bow season. The wider Hayward area is home to multiple scenic nine- and 18-hole golf courses, tennis courts, horseback riding trails and a number of excellent local restaurants.
There are also options for live entertainments such as the water ski show, or fun couples’ outings such as the popular barn dances. Guests staying at The Lake House find themselves approximately fifty miles from the Apostle Island National Park, where there are unsurpassed natural views, extensive hiking trails and renowned lake trout fishing. The Hayward area in northern Wisconsin is especially breathtaking in the fall, when the trees ignite in a flame of vibrant color that reflects in the still surfaces of the many placid lakes.
Things to Remember: Please remember to bring your own towels, both for showers and for swimming. Bed linens are provided for the two main bedrooms.

One of the most beautiful and well-kept resorts we have ever stayed at. Very quiet and picturesque. Cabins are on level ground and about 30 feet to your private pier. Lost Land Lake has some great fishing; especially croppy. The owners are very social and friendly; willing to help with any needs. Great location for a peaceful vacation. Karen Fischer Vogelsberg
It’s perfect vacation spot. Will be back again next summer. Julie Greiner Smith
