WELCOME TO TREEHAVEN, LAKE NOQUEBAY AND YOUR VACATION!
TreeHaven is located on 9 acres of woodlands off a private road in Marinette County, WI, so you can enjoy privacy and quiet nights. It is surrounded by mature maple trees and is the tromping grounds for red fox, white tail deer and an occasional black bear. The bald eagles, humming birds, pileated woodpeckers and red headed woodpeckers are a few of the birds in the area. We're sure you'll see more wildlife during your stay.
Lake Noquebay is 2400 acres of fun, whether it be swimming, fishing, water skiing or any type of boat use. The launch is about 3 miles away. There is room at the pier for your boat/s and space in the yard for your trailer or use the provided paddle boat and row boat (life preservers and anchors in the waterfront shed). The beach area offers a fire pit, picnic table, water/sand toys, lawn furniture (remember that book you wanted to read?) and a great place to watch for falling stars.
The 2 bedroom/1 bathroom cabin was built in 1978 atop a small hill overlooking the lake and was completely remodeled by my father in 2000 when he became the owner. This Spring, new flooring was installed throughout. The pictures can better describe the interior than I can in words.
You can look forward to a screened in porch with rocking chairs, a table/chairs for dining and game/card playing and a spectacular view of the wooded backyard. In the kitchen, all appliances are "full size". The kitchen, dining area and living room with a field stone fireplace are all part of the open concept. The couch opens into a queen size bed. The master bedroom (queen) faces the lake and the smaller bedroom (full) faces the backyard.
Inside the cabin, you'll find books and DVDs for all ages, games, cards, jigsaw puzzles, a well outfitted kitchen, TV, a new couch and flooring, the original stone fireplace and relaxation.
Dogs (maximum of 2 at any time) are welcome.
- You will be the ONLY people using this property during your stay.
- The lake shore of 500 feet includes a sandy lake bottom with a gentle slope into the ankle deep water. Enjoy swimming, boating, sunbathing, campfires, and eagles flying.
- A grassy area, fire pit, firewood, lawn chairs, sand toys, paddle boat, row boat, anchor, life preservers, picnic table, marshmallow sticks, storage shed and 18 foot pier are lakeside. Canoe upon request.
- From the cabin, a foot path from the small deck (a great morning coffee deck) leads to the lake. TreeHaven was built on top of an interesting hill/ridge. This may be a concern for some, but there's room to park a car or 2 by the lake if desired. Some people have enjoyed renting a golf cart from a local business. Others enjoy the walk through the trees.
-Lake Noquebay does not have any restrictions. Jet skis, ski boats, kayaks, fishing boats and sailboats all share the 2400 recreational lake.
-Anglers enjoy going after musky, walleye, brown trout, large mouth bass, northern pike, blue gills, and crappy.
-The backyard is the stage for animal sightings, listening to the rain from the protected porch, "hearing" the night and being surrounded by green.
PLEASE NOTE:
- TreeHaven does NOT have internet (the unplugged cabin) however, it is available in town. It appears that most cell phones work well (there is a new tower across the lake and things have improved, especially on weekends when there is high demand).
- TreeHaven does not supply towels or linens. From experience, people seem to prefer to bring their own which, of course, is fine. However, linens and towels can be supplied: linens are $5 per bed (beds will be made) and towels are $5 per set (bath and hand towel and washcloth).
-Dogs (maximum of 2 at any time) are $10 per night or $50 per week, each. They are to be WITH you at all times or in a kennel that you supply. They are never to be left alone in the cabin.
-No parties or events, please.
Marinette County is home to 12 scenic waterfalls, 22 county parks, nine golf courses and six museums. Popular outdoor activities include walking or hiking in the parks, white water rafting, fishing at several nearby lakes and rivers and exploring the many beautiful hiking and biking trails (Tommy Thompson State Park). There are also ATV trails further north near Dunbar. Visitors can enjoy the local weekly water ski shows (Ski Cats perform on Lake Noquebay), flea market and other seasonal weekly events.
The closest villages to TreeHaven are Crivitz and Wausaukee where guests can venture out for a taste of the local flavor, shopping at unique local stores, geocaching, bars and restaurants. Other available adventures include a trip to the local arboretum or zoo. Green Bay is an hour south and offers Bay Beach Amusement Park, a botanical garden, animal rehab complex, restaurants, resale stores, shopping and of course, EVERYTHING Packers.
There are a variety of churches in the area that are listed in the Info Book at the cabin.
The well stocked BROCHURE BASKET of information and maps is updated every year.
For those rainy days or "I don't wanna go anywhere" moments, TreeHaven has a selection of books, board games, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles and decks of cards.

This setting was all we had hoped for and more. We all had a blast and hated to leave. In the early morning my wife and I would sit out on the back porch/deck with our coffee watching the woods and lake until our kids would come to life. We spent the days fishing, swimming, tubing, and relaxing. Evenings were spent around the fire pit by the lake having a few drinks and enjoying family conversation and company and the star filled sky. The rustic cabin, which is stocked much better than we would have expected, and secluded location were a perfect fit for us. The lakefront is very nice, and the water is shallow enough for quite a distance that some nice pan fish were caught by just wading out from the shore with a rod and reel. Eagles were seen often and sometimes in a tree overlooking the dock. Sally checked in with us a few times and was helpful and delightful to talk to. We met Zeke before we left and enjoyed talking with him as well. We were already planning on coming back long before we left. Thanks to Sally and Zeke for such a great cabin and the fantastic week we had. Donald K.
Perfect fall trees with canopy of green and yellow leaves give you the privacy anyone would want yet 10-minute drive to the main highway. Found some treasures at the local antique store and visited Veteran Falls (small but pretty). Owner was friendly. The cabin has all the kitchen necessities and a charcoal grill outside (bring charcoal). Fire pit is just down the hill at the small lake access area. Screened porch would be perfect if it was a rainy day. It had a foosball table which we reminisced playing a few games. We would return. Thank you Sally. Shannon R.
My husband and I, along with our 2 dogs, stayed here an early fall weekend. The pictures don't do the cabin justice. Such a remote and beautiful location, the cabin was immaculate, saw a few deer, and in the morning the sun filtered through the trees as you looked down to the water down the hill. So lovely by the shore. Close to Governor Thompson State Park, which was great for short to medium-length hikes. On Saturday afternoon it rained, but we just relaxed and had a fire inside (wood is already stocked and ready to go)! Wonderful hosts, wonderful getaway. We are coming back next year! Christine S.
This was our first stay at Hilltop. We began planning our next stay after our first night there. It was everything Sally described. Peaceful, quiet and private. We had a great time fishing, hiking and just relaxing. Owners Sally and Zeke were very nice. Thank You for a great weekend!! Colleen B.
Our first stay at the Hilltop and what a delight! The deep woods setting is nature at its best - a picture worth painting. The cabin was wonderful and so very comfortable. The interior is lovely, the kitchen is a delight (compared to most vacation rentals) — well equipped and clean, the stone fireplace is an added bonus to relax by, the overall cabin is five stars! The lake has a sandy bottom. Cindy

My husband and I own another cabin at the end of the 2-mile-long driveway. We've owned our property for 29 years and moved up here almost 3 years ago. Now we can spend all of our time fishing, hunting, reading, gardening, "naturing" and plain old sitting back with friends.
Upon inheriting TreeHaven from my dad, we chose to share a bit of the north woods and all that it offers. Personally, we both have many fond memories of “going up north” with our families as children and just want to provide that same opportunity for others.
No matter when you visit the area and no matter where you stay, please enjoy making your own north woods memories.
