Welcome to Elkhorn Lodge on a beautiful, quiet lake near the Wisconsin Dells. Elkhorn is a perfect location for a relaxing getaway or vacation and is a retreat into the tranquility of the Northwoods without the long drive. The Lodge is set on scenic Lake McGinnis, with the most amazing sunsets and sunrises available from the water, pier, yard, deck, or from the Great Room. Bring your own boat with an electric motor and tie up to the pier, or use the provided watercrafts. The non-gas motor lake guarantees a sense of calm and peace.
Our Lodge is located 30 minutes from the Dells and 3.5 hours from Minneapolis, 3 hours from Chicago, 2 hours from Milwaukee and 1 hour from Madison. Included on the property are kayaks, a canoe, and a rowboat. Nearby is a boat landing and electric motor boats are welcome at the property.
Elkhorn is a completely renovated Lodge that features 3 levels with each level having a bedroom and bathroom. It is extremely clean and tastefully decorated with rustic-modern touches. Several families can enjoy being together while having their own space. All 3 bedrooms have queen beds and 2 bathrooms have showers. Smart TV’s are located on the main and lower levels. The main level has a dining room, fully stocked kitchen, and a stunning Great Room with lake views from every angle with an electric fireplace (electric fireplace is seasonal use only). Off to the side is a coffee bar for that morning cup of coffee which can be enjoyed from the wraparound deck.

The property is located in beautiful Adams County of Central Wisconsin near farm fields, forests, and even Amish with their horses and buggies. Elkhorn is close enough to the attractions of Wisconsin Dells for day trips, but far enough to unwind for an evening, day, or entire vacation. Located nearby is: Devils Lake State Park - a must see for any hiking adventure, Roche -A-Cri State Park - a smaller yet beautiful park, Cascade Mountain for snow sports, snowmobile trails, ATV/UTV activities, hiking, boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, trout stream fishing, or hunting in nearby public lands. World class golfing options are within 45 minutes.
Lake McGinnis is loaded with panfish and you can catch bluegills all day long off the pier, which is sure to create lasting family memories! Also in the lake are crappie, largemouth bass, and northern pike. The sandy bottom, crystal clear waters of adjacent Neenah Creek provides fantastic trout fishing. After a great day on the water or in the Dells, enjoy those amazing sunsets while listening to all the wildlife - the calls of the Canadian geese, and quacks of mallards.
If you like local wineries be sure to check out owner favorites: Fawn Creek Winery with great music bands is only 20 minutes away. Prairie Hawk Winery also with music and house made mead is 20 minutes away. Broken Bottle and Balanced Rock Wineries are 30 minutes away while Baraboo Bluff Winery is 40 minutes along with Driftless Glen Distillery. Another owner favorite is the Redneck Saloon only 1 mile away. This bar is a great spot to grab a drink and be sure to try their home made pizzas. We provide basic essentials but not items like salt, pepper, oil, or paper towels. Please plan to bring these.
