Lazy Bear is a REAL LOG CABIN that will remind you of Goldilocks! It is located on a 3 acre lot surrounded by trees a the small rural community between the Dells and Lyndon Station. The home offers 1,860 square feet of cozy living space, complete with two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, modern appliances, wireless internet, a Jacuzzi tub and a gas-burning stove.
The home has a large backyard area with a fire pit on a quiet gravel road. However, despite its secluded setting, the cabin is conveniently located to sights and activities in the nearby towns of Wisconsin Dells, Lake Delton and Baraboo. Downtown Wisconsin Dells is just 10 minutes away.
Lazy Bear is spread out over three artistic levels, with a walk-out basement and a lofted sleeping area and bedroom. The main living area is located on the ground floor, with a spacious kitchen, a comfortable sitting room with a flat-screen TV and an open dining area with a table and chairs for six. The cabin is decorated in a traditional style with stunning locally made furniture and antique accents. Bathrooms are located on the main and lower levels, with a combination tub and shower in both (tub is jetted in the lower level bath). You'll likely spot wildlife such as deer, raccoons and turkey.
Sleeping arrangements: The main floor bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and adjoins the main bathroom. The lower level bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and a twin daybed and adjoins the lower level bath. The lower level also features a sofa sleeper in the family room. The upper level loft is furnished with a unique handcrafted day bed and checker/chess table as well as a separate bedroom with 2 twin beds.
There is 1 security camera that views the entrance and parking area.
Unique Features
Aside from its unique location and beautiful setting, Lazy Bear cabin also offers a scenic front porch view. The covered veranda is arranged with a hand-made heavy timber table and chairs set, making it the perfect place to sip your morning coffee or gaze at the stars. The home is cozy and warm in aesthetic and in truth, with a fireplace and plenty of natural light coming in through windows and skylights.
Guests are provided with a selection of movies and games in case you want to relax stay-cation style. There is also a paved playing court and basketball hoop in the back yard.
Things To Do
Lazy Bear cabin is located a short drive from hundreds of shops, restaurants and experiences in the Wisconsin Dells — the waterpark capital of the world. Visitors will love the lively downtown strip lined with souvenir shops and handmade treats, as well as the vast collection of theme parks and other attractions — not to mention the outlet mall, which is a great place to complete holiday or back-to-school shopping.
The cabin is just five miles from Trapper’s Turn Golf Course (home to a truly spectacular Mother’s Day Brunch). It is also roughly five miles from Rocky Arbor State Park and 30 minutes from scenic hiking trails and canoe rentals at Devil’s Lake State Park. If you are visiting during the winter, be sure to check out the day passes and group rates at Cascade or Christmas Mountain, both within 30 minutes of the cabin door.

From the name of the place to getting all my questions answered in a timely fashion my family loved the Lazy Bear. Our house is in the city and we live a very hectic lifestyle with our busy schedules so this place was perfect for us to unwind and enjoy each other together. We loved the feeling of the woods yet close enough to drive somewhere. The cozy house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The amenities like the washer and dryer and also the fireplace were nice to have while on vacation. We saved money from having to get multiple hotel rooms and could save on being able to cook meals right there. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I did not know the area very well and it was helpful to get suggestions on what we might enjoy. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it! S.B.
We are Leon and Sondra and our family lives in the Wisconsin Dells area. We love this area for it's breathtaking beauty. We (our 3 daughters especially) love boating and playing on the beaches of the Wisconsin River and Castle Rock Lake. This area is so unique because it has a great small town vibe, but there is so much to do and see!
We moved from the Milwaukee area in 2006 and have been loving the quieter pace that this beautiful town has to offer. Our homes (except the Eagles Nest) are just far enough out of town for a peaceful, quiet surrounding, but close enough for it to be convenient for supplies, many dining options and the famous Wisconsin Dells entertainment. One of our homes, the Eagles Nest, is located on a uniquely wooded, waterview lot right in town.
