This cozy vacation home is the perfect place for a couple or single individual looking to see the sights around Windmill Square. Accessible by steps leading up to a large balcony and then into the apartment, it feels both tucked away and at the center of things.
Inside, the studio apartment has crisp, neat, and simple decorations. It is surprisingly spacious for a single room. Visitors have access to a kitchen area that is fully equipped. Appliances include a fridge, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster, along with equipment such as eating utensils and wine glasses; if eating out isn’t your style, we’ve got you covered!
The apartment also has a comfortable couch, plush chair, and living space, complete with a smart TV. There is also a work nook with a desk and light beside a window, and WiFi is also available. For visitors who have work to do while on their vacation, you will find that this is perfectly possible.
The sleeping area is slightly separate from the rest of the house; a queen-size bed, framed by a blue painted wall, sits on its own, so you can keep your living and sleeping activities separate. The house also contains a bathroom with a walk in shower.
Perhaps this apartment’s best feature is its location! Visitors can easily walk to a variety of the downtown restaurants and shops that the area has to offer. If they are in town for any of the famous local festivals, there is a good chance that they can walk to those, too. They are also only a short drive from places to go skiing or mountain biking.
This town is the perfect place for activities both quirky and adventurous. Head to the Lumberjack Village to see a show, and, if you’re here in July, head to the Lumberjack World Championships at the end of July for a kid-friendly and unique athletic event. Or, go skiing, hiking, or biking (depending on the season) along the Birkie Trail System. There are also a plethora of places to hike at the Chequamegon National Forest, so you are sure to be able to spend time in nature during your stay. Finally, this area is known as the ‘Golf Capital of Wisconsin’, so if you have any interest in golfing, you will have a variety of courses to choose from.
For those who are interested in more of a city scene, Downtown Hayward has a lot to offer. From bookstores to novelty items to souvenir shops, there is truly something for anyone who is interested in a day spent shopping around the area.
To eat, we recommend The Whistle Punk, whether you want a pastry and coffee, or beer and sandwiches. Head to Tamarack Farms for wine and pizza, or go to Northwoods Burgers and Fries for some comfort food. We hope you enjoy your stay, and we look forward to seeing you here!
