There are lake views from the inside the cabin and the deck. Located in a peaceful neighborhood, you’ll appreciate the tranquility of the hemlock trees surrounding this property. Relax in the screened porch area or the living room. The living room features a large stone-faced, gas fireplace and comfortable furniture.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with appliances and everything needed for cooking and eating, including a dishwasher. Cook meals in the kitchen or fire up the charcoal grill. The Hemlock House can comfortably sleep up to 7 guests. Two bedrooms each have a have queen bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. There is an additional queen sofa sleeper in the living room. This delightful cottage is conveniently located minutes away from downtown St. Germain, yet you still get the full cabin experience being surrounded by nature and the lake.
Little St. Germain Lake is 956 acres and perfect for fishing, swimming, and boating. The lake is about 53 feet deep at its deepest point. Get ready to catch walleye, muskie, bluegill, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and northern pike. At The Hemlock House guests get their own private pier with a bench.
St. Germain is filled with fun family activities during any season. Experience high flying adventure at the Northwoods Zip Line Tour, enjoy hands on learning at the Northwoods Children’s Museum and check out Geocaching opportunities in the area. All ages love getting tasty treats from Cathy’s Ice Cream n’ Candy Shoppe.
Tour the Three Lakes Winery and learn how cranberry wine is produced. Tribute Brewing Co. in Eagle River has excellent craft brews. Or if you enjoy tea, check out Green Rich Tea. There are many restaurants, cafes, breweries, etc. in Vilas County for you to pick from. Don’t miss the leaves changing colors in this area! The vibrant fall colors can be found at the cabin and around town. Fall here also includes festivals, the Cranberry Bog Tour and fishing tournaments.
Stay during the winter and enjoy snowmobiling, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and outdoor ice skating. Right next to the community center is an outdoor ice rink with a warming shelter. Once the snow blankets the grounds in St. Germain, people flock to our area for the groomed snowmobile trails. Don’t have a snowmobile? There are plenty of rental options. Explore dozens of groomed cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails. Winter is a very popular time in Vilas County due to the large variety of winter outdoor activities, trails and the Snowmobile Hall of Fame.
Whether you love hiking, biking or ATVing, St. Germain has it all! The St. Germain Hike and Bike Trail is 45 miles long and one of the most beautiful and popular paved trail system in the Midwest.
