There is a nice mix of carpet and hardwood floors, a large stone fireplace, tiled baths and some classic furniture and art work. The home has many charming finishes but has the modern amenities you would expect. The kitchen has a center island prep area, double ovens, dishwasher, microwave and is fully stocked with small appliances. The dining room is a large room for all to enjoy, with lake views and a full wall built in china cabinet with generous tableware.
The lake is one of Hayward's finest known for its great water clarity and fishing. Lac Courte Oreilles is 5000 acres in size and is very close to Hayward. It is a full recreational lake and you can boat to lake restaurants. You can bring your own boat and launch it right at George’s Lakeside Haven waterfront vacation home to explore and fish the 5000 acre Lake Lac Courte Oreilles. The private boat launch and pier make a great place to moor your boat plus there is power at the shore. The shoreline has a great swimming area for children with a gradual slope, sandy-bottom, and excellent water quality in this spring-fed lake.
You’ll have plenty of room to spread out inside the Lakeside Haven that has its two large family rooms with leather furniture, Ping-Pong table, desk, stone fireplace, satellite connected flat screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. There are many outdoor games to try out as well. The large screen porch with its wall of windows and high ceilings also makes a quiet retreat for board games, reading, or working on a puzzle.
Recreation abounds outside with a covered stone patio with furniture and picnic tables, a lovely fire pit overlooking the water, a weber gas grill, private boat launch, and swimming area. Tie up your boat at the private dock or use the paddleboat and canoe provided to check out all those hidden places on the lake. Picnic, swim and fish on the water!
Anglers will love the lake’s great fishing opportunities with Musky, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Largemouth Bass, and abundant Northern Pike. After you get your daily catch, cook them out on the Weber grill. Stoke up the fire pit for an evening watching the stars and making s’mores. Don’t want to cook? Motor over to the Anglers Haven restaurant with its large mooring dock for a cocktail to go with their gourmet pizza. They even have gluten free pizzas!
It’s just a short trip into Hayward where you can visit the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and can walk through a giant fiberglass musky. Check out their historical fishing equipment displays too. Downtown Hayward has a wonderful assortment of shopping venues and restaurants. If you have a sweet tooth, then Tremblays Sweet Shop is a “must stop.” If you love pie, then you must stop in at the Norske Nook and sample at least one of their national award-wining pies.
