This cozy lake house cabin is the perfect getaway for a summer fishing trip for a couple’s vacation or that of a small family. After a day spent using the free kayaks, rowboats, and paddle boat on the property, or fishing off of the dock, head inside and relax. With many windows, a wood-paneled floor and ceiling, and comfortable seating inside, Cabin Seven has a rustic, homey atmosphere that will hopefully have you feeling right at home.
Inside the cabin, there is a fully equipped kitchen area. The kitchen has a refrigerator, freezer, stove/oven, and microwave. There are also cooking and eating utensils, so you won’t have to worry about bringing things from home in order to make a delicious meal. Maybe you can even cook something that you catch on the lake! Besides the kitchen, there is also a living area with a TV, along with free WiFi for visitors.
This cabin sleeps a total of three. There is one bedroom with a full bed. There is also a futon in the living room. There is one bathroom in this vacation home.
Visitors at this cabin have access to many outdoor amenities besides the ones listed, in order to make their stay a great one. There are picnic tables around the property, along with free firewood - while it lasts - for use in the community fire pit. Visitors can roast hot dogs or marshmallows over the fire and have a fun outdoor meal on the property.
Visitors to Chetek have a lot of options of things that they can do to make their stay enjoyable. For those who want to try their hand at fishing outside of the property, they will be able to do this in one of the many fishing spots at the surrounding lakes nearby. There are also parks for boating and hiking, where visitors might be able to spot deer, fox, badgers, or other animals that are native to Wisconsin.
In town, Star Dust Drive-In Theater makes for a cute evening event; watch a movie without leaving your car, and make use of the theater’s restaurant at the same location. There are also opportunities for bowling, golfing, and more! Great dining options include Caddy Shack Bar & Grill, or Lehman’s Supper Club.
For visitors interested in the more educational or historical side of Chetek, head to the Pioneer Village Museum for some interactive activities in a museum that is set up like an 1880’s village. Or make use of the library, or of Cheek’s other Museum - the Chetek Area Museum - to get an in-depth understanding of how Chetek came to be the bustling tourist town that it is today. No matter where you end up, we hope that you will have a great visit!
