This cheerful cabin is located on the banks of Ten Mile Lake and is the perfect getaway for families looking to fish, go boating, and delve into lake life at any time of the year. Visitors can enjoy free use of the kayaks, paddle boat, and rowboat that are at the resort, as well as the free firewood - while it lasts!
This cabin is accessible with a wheelchair ramp or by steps. It contains a cozy kitchen and living area. In the kitchen, we provide all of your utensils and appliances. Want to microwave some leftovers from one of our great local restaurants? We’ve got you covered. Rather cook some fresh caught fish in the oven? You can do that, too! Amenities include a microwave, stove, coffee maker, and basic cooking and eating utensils. In the living room, you will have access to a TV. There is also free WiFi, making “roughing it” to enjoy the outdoors a thing of the past.
The vacation home sleeps a total of six people. There are three bedrooms: One contains a queen-sized bed; one has a full bed, and one has two twins. There is also a futon in the living room. There is also a large restroom area with a shower.
One of this cabin’s best features is that it’s open year-round! If you are interested in ice-fishing, snowmobiling, or cross country skiing, Cabin 4 is a great place to stay, not just in the summer months, but while you are participating in outdoor hobbies regardless of the season. This cabin also makes a good choice for a hunting trip for this reason.
There are a variety of opportunities to enjoy the area around the property and around Kingfisher Resort, as mentioned. In addition to the free boats, there are also fishing pontoon and boat rentals available, and we allow ATV’s and snowmobiles on the property. In addition, there is an arcade machine in the office on this resort with over 60 games that cost quarters to play - a great rainy day activity.
Despite all of this, you don’t want to miss out on what the city of Chetek has to offer! If you like to watch water skiing, the Hydroflites are an excellent choice to watch throughout the summer. There are also a variety of parks and hiking trails. Head to Christie Mountain - an outdoor center - if you want to try your hand at rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, or snowtubing, depending on the season. Or, go bowling at Chetek Lanes to get some great pizza while engaging in some friendly competition.
Finally, there are plenty of fun educational opportunities in Chetek, as well. The Pioneer Village Museum offers visitors the chance to experience Barron County history through interactive activities. There are also events hosted throughout the year and multiple day camps for children to enjoy and participate in during the summer.

This small, family-owned resort is the perfect place to stay overnight if you want to get out on the water and enjoy a great fishing or boating experience. With seven cabins, seven RV sites, boat docks, boat rentals, and more, we have all you need if you are interested in fishing, boating, swimming, or, of course, just spending time in the sun. Visitors to cabin 4 also have the opportunity to stay during the winter months and spend time ice fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, or more!
The Kingfisher Resort name has been around for 75 years as of 2022, and this particular set of cabins was purchased in 2020. We know what it means to run a successful business and spend a lot of time out on the water - fishing or boating - ourselves. Visitors who need anything during their stay are welcome to ask.
