Perched back in the shade of the trees beside the lake, with a picnic table and fire pit scattered across the lawn, Cabin Three at Kingfisher Resort is a great vacation home for a family fishing trip. Visitors will enter the home to find a relaxing, rustic atmosphere, with bright, sunny windows in the summer that pour light onto the dark wood paneled walls.
The cabin contains a fully equipped kitchen. Visitors won’t have to worry about being without a microwave, coffee pot, or cooking or eating utensils. There is also a kitchen table and chairs. Bring your food from home (or leftovers from one of our local restaurants) and store it in the refrigerator, or fry up a fresh catch on the stove for dinner. There is also a living room for sitting and relaxing after a good meal.
There are two bedrooms, each with a full bed. In addition to this, there is another full bed in the living room. And, there is a futon in the living room, as well. The vacation home sleeps a total of six. There is also a bathroom with a shower.
One great feature of this cabin is that it is pet friendly! For a fee, you can bring your mutt for a vacation out on the water, or a feline companion to curl up on your lap in the living room. Whatever creatures are in your family, we will do our best to accommodate you: We want you to feel like this is your home away from home!
On Ten Mile Lake, where this cabin is located, there are so many opportunities for fishing, swimming, boating, or just lounging around outside. You may find that staying on the property of the resort is all you need for a relaxing stay. If you choose to venture out and around the Chetek area, however, you will not fall short of things to fill your time.
For those simply looking for more opportunities to spend time in nature, the area has many parks to offer. Main Street Park is a peaceful square of greenery in the city of Chetek. Or, go to Veterans Memorial Park for access to a playground, boat landing, and trails. Or, go to any of the lakes in the Big Six Chain of Lakes for a different view of the water in the area.
For those interested in town activities, there is bowling; a drive-in movie theater (called Star Dust) that also includes a restaurant; and great beer: We recommend Valkyrie Brewery. There are also multiple denominations of churches, along with a library and several museums: Pioneer Village Museum is especially kid-friendly and involves a variety of interactive activities in the form of historical reenactments.

This small, family-owned resort is the perfect place to stay overnight if you want to get out on the water and enjoy a great fishing or boating experience. With seven cabins, seven RV sites, boat docks, boat rentals, and more, we have all you need if you are interested in fishing, boating, swimming, or, of course, just spending time in the sun. Visitors to cabin 4 also have the opportunity to stay during the winter months and spend time ice fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, or more!
The Kingfisher Resort name has been around for 75 years as of 2022, and this particular set of cabins was purchased in 2020. We know what it means to run a successful business and spend a lot of time out on the water - fishing or boating - ourselves. Visitors who need anything during their stay are welcome to ask.
