If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all and go for an overnight fishing trip with the family, Cabin 1 at Kingfisher Resort is a great option for you. With the resort located on Tenmile lake in Chetek Chain of Lakes, you will have access to free rowboats, a paddle boat, and kayaks, or a rented pontoon to head out in the water and enjoy the fresh air, along with a host of other amenities.
Spend the day having outdoor adventures, and then come back to the modern equipment that makes the 21st century great! In the cabin itself, you will find a clean and cozy kitchen area with wood paneled walls and some windows to let the sun in. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, toaster, and other appliances needed to make your stay a welcome one. There is also a bathroom, complete with a walk-in shower. Appliances and perks to staying here also include: WiFi, free firewood, and a free one side of a dock to spend time in the water fishing or enjoying the view during your stay.
The vacation home sleeps a total of six. There are two bedrooms, each with its own bed. There is also one full bed in the living room, perfect for an extra guest.
One great feature of this cabin is the multiplayer arcade machine located in our office near your cabin. A potential novelty and source of competition for the kids or throwback for the adults, the machine is accessible when the office is. It costs only a few quarters to play a game, and there are over 60 games to choose from.
At this resort, you have access to the sparkling waters on Tenmile Lake. With fishing, boating, and swimming opportunities, you may not want to leave! However, the Chetek area also has a variety of excellent attractions that are great for kids and adults alike. Head to Star Dust Drive-in Movie Theater for a whimsical evening or afternoon; they have a restaurant, too, so you won’t have to worry about dinner! Other great places to have some fun include Chetek Lakes Event Center and Pizzeria, Valkyrie Brewery, or watching the Chetek Hydroflites: our waterski show team.
History buffs may enjoy the Pioneer Village Museum: This 1880’s village involves interactive activities and events that are both fun and educational. There is also the Chetek Area Museum, which has exhibits related to the lumber industry, tourist industry, Native American history, and US military service of Chetek area residents.
Finally, nature lovers of all kinds who choose to visit Chetek have come to the right place. From our array of parks - including many along the lakes, and one with a space for volleyball - to our golf courses, to, of course, our many lakes, there is something here for you to spend a sunny day outside. We look forward to seeing you here!

The Kingfisher Resort name has been around for 75 years as of 2022, and this particular set of cabins was purchased in 2020. We know what it means to run a successful business and spend a lot of time out on the water - fishing or boating - ourselves. Visitors who need anything during their stay are welcome to ask.
