Cabin is overlooking Franklin Lake, and your backyard is the magnificent Nicolet National Forest! Welcome to our modern vacation cabin. The water quality of the lake is so good that it's rated near-drinking quality. Our 28' deck is equipped with gas and charcoal grills and chairs. Get away without having to camp out. Up to date plumbing and water softener, copious hot water, USB ports and night lights, antenna tv and fully equipped kitchen round out your dream vacation. One bedroom has a queen bed, dresser and closet. The other bedroom has twin beds, dresser, bedside table and closet. Hampers, clock radios and bed lamps, blinds and curtains round out the carpeted bedrooms. One bathroom with 4’ tub/shower has luxury shower head options and multi-towel racks and medicine cabinet for efficiency. The great room has new laminate flooring and comfortable furnishings. One couch is a queen sleeper and the other is big and cushy for cuddling up in front of the fireplace. Bring your Keurig K-cups and fixings for blended drinks as we have all modern small appliances, including an electric griddle for frying your catch of the day.
Just 30 steps down to the lake and a mile to a 200' sand beach, boat landing and national campground. Cabin is on Franklin Lake and near Butternut Lake: Two of the best fishing lakes for walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike and panfish (no muskies). 14' and 16' rowboats and a canoe included. No motorboat but you may dock your boat on our pier. 20 minutes from Eagle River shopping, restaurants and night life. Pristine lake and swimmable shoreline. Rustic fire pit at shoreline. Central A/C and gas furnace. Large brick fireplace.
Enjoy the fall and winter as well as gorgeous spring and summer. The quiet beauty of the woods' winter solitude is ideal for hunters, snowmobilers, ice fisherman, and cross country enthusiasts. Miles of XC ski, snowmobile, and hiking trails are just yards away. Nearby island on Franklin Lake is great for picnic, camping and exploring - kids love it. Our pier sunsets are spectacular! Lake offers no heavy traffic, unlike the Chain O' Lakes. The beach next to the campground is clean and well-groomed and easily accessible by bike, boat, car or hike. A favorite gathering spot is the sand bar, accessible only by boat or jet ski. There you can picnic, swim, snorkel and explore the shoreline. See loons, wild game, songbirds, and eagles that frequent our setting.
