PACKER FANS!! Dorothy's Dacha is the only license rental in the Town of Scott. It is a private vacation home in Wisconsin’s scenic Green Bay, made comfortable year-round by air conditioning and heating, and extra cozy in winter by the wood-burning fireplace. The cottage is settled in the bay with a private, sandy beach perfect for swimming, fishing and sunbathing. During the day, guests can watch the pelican dip and drift over the gentle waves, while the evenings are colored by glorious sunsets and the nights are lit by twinkling stars.
Dorothy's Dacha is the ideal family getaway in all seasons, with 1,500 square feet of interior living space, including two private bedrooms, two full baths, a full kitchen and a generous, open living and dining area. Pillows, blankets, linens and towels are provided for guests — please take note that beach towels are not available, and guests will need to bring their own.
The exterior of Dorothy's Dacha is just as inviting as the interior, with a spacious open-air sun deck with outdoor lounge seating and a barbecue grill. Guests can also do their cooking on the private beach, seated around the bonfire pit if they so choose. The driveway provides off-street parking for up to three vehicles, with additional storage for bikes or water toys in the onsite shed.
Sleeping arrangements: Two private bedrooms at Dorothy's Dacha accommodate up to seven overnight guests between them, with a queen-sized bed in the “Yellow Room,” and two queen-sized beds in the “Blue Room” on the lake-facing side. Dorothy's Dacha’ private and semi-rural location enables a fair amount of wildlife interaction for visitors — especially at dinner time! Deer routinely appear on the property around 5:00 pm, as well as the occasional turkey or rafter of turkeys. And that’s not all you can see from the bay. Looking north, guests can sit on the beach and watch the freighters traverse the channel to the port of Green Bay. It is also not uncommon to catch a fireworks display go up over the water. Located at the northernmost end of Green Bay as you enter Door County, Dorothy's Dacha is just 25 minutes from Lambeau Field — the celebrated home of the Green Bay Packers. We highly recommend planning a visit during a Packer Football Game Weekend! The cottage is also 25 minutes from downtown Sturgeon Pay, where visitors can shop, dine and explore in Egg Harbor, Sister Bay or Fish Creek, or tour Washington Island.
The home is within biking distance of Bay Shore County Park and the Bay Beach Amusement Park. A bank, grocery store, library and fitness center are easily accessible, while a number of other, more exciting attractions also find their home in the area. Guests can visit the live theater, the botanical gardens, the zoo and various museums or tour one of several wineries.
The bay and rivers are ideal for fishing or paddling, while the open waters are used for wind-surfing, water skiing, jet-skiing and even snorkeling. If you are visiting in early August, consider coordinating your dates with the Green Bay Tall Ships Festival — guests can watch the parade of ships right from the front yard of On the Bay Sunsets.

Perfect weather, perfect view. The house was immaculate and well appointed. We spent most mornings relaxing on the deck, drinking coffee just watching the water. There is so much to see in the Green Bay area. We visited Lambeau Field; went to Door County for a fish boil and shopped for a few days. Brian and Denice are the nicest couple and the home is in a community of great neighbors. The sunsets were spectacular, and the pelicans came in all day, swimming by or flying by. The vacation exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return next summer. Brian B., Aug. 25, 2017
Fall Color Trip. This was an excellent spot to spend a few days and explore Door County Fall Colors. We arrived late in the evening and the house was spotlessly clean and had everything needed, including fire wood in the fireplace ready to light. There was a beautiful view of the lights on the lake and close to several small restaurants where we could find dinner (owner recommended and provided directions). After a great night’s sleep, very comfortable beds, we had a relaxing morning eating breakfast looking at the Bay. The rest of the day was spent exploring the fall color. It would be an excellent place to stay and relax or enjoy the bay (especially if you could sit outside with a temperature above 50). We were there to see the fall color and it was excellent for that as well, I could see going here again in the summer. The owners were extremely helpful and live next to the property. Wonderful lake view and hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay at this property, you have an awesome lake view from the sofa in the living room, let alone the backyard and lakeside fire ring. The house itself is very clean and has all you need to prepare a meal including spices, condiments etc... You are also provided with fire wood. The house is situated between Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay, access to either is very easy. Highly recommended! Mark H., Aug. 2, 2016
Fishing Trip. Place was incredible. Great view, 50 feet from lake shore. Only 5 minutes from boat launch. Close to Green Bay but yet removed from traffic and congestion. Rental home was very accommodating, very clean and had an endless amount of supplies and condiments. Would definitely return and recommend this home. Ray W., June 27, 2016
