Drive up to the outside of the cottage, and you will instantly see where it got its name. Nestled amongst the foliage and with a cozy screened-in front porch, it looks like something out of a fairytale story. Inside, the vacation home is airy and bright, with cool-colored walls and windows that seem to capture all of the sunlight at any time of day.
Outdoor amenities include a grill, outdoor seating in and out of the screened-in porch, and a yard area that is perfect for the kids to run around and blow off some steam. Inside, the cottage has a fully furnished and tastefully decorated kitchen; amenities include a coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. There is also a living area that includes a gas fireplace, perfect for warming yourself after a cool day exploring outdoors. In addition, the couch opens up into a futon, adding an extra sleeping area to the two bedrooms adjacent to the living area.
Each bedroom contains a queen bed. Linens and towels are available with rental of the cabin. There is also a bathroom complete with a shower, to make your stay in the great outdoors as luxurious as possible.
One of the best features of this cabin is its location. Located directly beside the boat ramp as well as the owner’s residence and office within this resort, it is perfect for outdoor recreation and talking with us if there is any other issue. Also nearby is the Lodge bar and grill, perfect for dining out during your stay or experiencing live events.
During your stay at the cottage, you may want to stay and enjoy the lake around the resort. However, if you are here for outdoor recreation, the Hayward Lakes Area is the perfect place to do so! Here, there are opportunities for golf, hiking, biking, fishing, and more! Depending on when in the year you choose to come visit us, you might stop by one of our ski shops such as Riverbook Bike and Ski and then head out on the slopes! Or, rent anything from a pontoon to a canoe from Ranamuk rides and head out on the water or ATV trails.
Great dining experiences include Angler’s Bar & Grill, or, for a coffee or brewery experience, The Whistle Punk. Events throughout the year also ensure that you will never be short of something to do. These include the annual Musky Festival which takes place in June and includes a fishing contest and 5K/10K run. There are also the Lumberjack World Championships and the Seeley Hills Classic cross-country ski event.

Classic Northwoods setting with beautiful lodge and grounds! Michelle and Terry are the best! Jean Kempenich Wolfe
Had a great 4-night stay here. Site was large enough for our 36' 5th wheel and long bed truck, plus room for an EZ up and sitting around the fire. Had a few drinks at the lodge and Terry and Michelle were great hosts! Deb Sadler Bertling
