To appreciate its heritage, we recommend visiting the Swiss Center of North America for a unique, interactive experience. The Swiss Historical Village also tells the story of New Glarus and has an authentic 1850s log cabin (we love that). The festivals are non-stop - there is something going on every weekend. This one is a mouthful, but worth every nibble: The Polka, Beer, Bacon & Cheese Festival in historic downtown New Glarus. It’s been going on for over 25 years.
